Privacy Policy
Data Collected
“Joseph Thurner - imagecreator” takes the protection of your personal data very seriously, processes your data solely on the basis of applicable data protection laws (GDPR, DSG, ECG), and adheres to the principles of data minimisation and necessity.
- E-mail contact: if you contact us by e-mail, the data you provide (name, e-mail address, content of the message) will be used solely to handle your enquiry and will not be passed on to third parties.
- User account: when creating and maintaining your user account, the following personal data are collected: username, e-mail, encrypted password, date of registration, all information provided in your profile.
- Further data only if actively provided by you:
- Creating a personal message to another registered user (where this feature is available)
- Entry (including as a draft) in the guestbook, post in the blog or discussion forum (where these features are available)
The IP address is stored in the following cases: creating a personal message, guestbook entry, blog or forum post (where available), deletion or modification of posts or private messages, changes to central profile data (e-mail address, account activation, user password), and failed login attempts. IP addresses are stored exclusively in anonymised form (as a non-reversible hash) – it is not possible to identify individuals from this data. For each session, as a technical requirement, the browser identification string (user agent) transmitted by your browser is stored. This can only be viewed by the technical administrator and is deleted once the session expires.
Security Log (Audit Log)
For security logging purposes, “Joseph Thurner - imagecreator” maintains an internal log of security-relevant actions, including logins and logouts, changes to accounts, roles, and permissions, and configuration changes. The log contains timestamps, user IDs, and the hashed IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the security and traceability of operations). Log entries are automatically deleted after 90 days.
Retention Period
“Joseph Thurner - imagecreator” adheres to the principles of data minimisation and necessity. Personal data are only stored for as long as required for the specific purpose (in particular for providing your user account or processing your enquiries) or as long as statutory retention periods demand. Once the purpose ceases to apply or these periods expire, the corresponding data are routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with legal regulations. Notwithstanding this, you may delete your account or request complete deletion at any time.
